As a Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for helping to find, develop, motivate and retain the team. You will act as a corporate culture leader and support the company’s executives and manager, enabling the company to develop, grow and be successful. In this role, you will be responsible for all human resources related activities.

The Human Resources Manager will partner with all areas of the business to help our team build and support their organizations. We want an inspiring leader who can motivate our people and build them to support the future.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build, develop and lead the human resources department.

  • Ensure that all HR policies and processes comply with ever-changing federal and state regulations.

  • Establish people-centric policies and practices that are aligned with our company philosophy, our core values, and ensure they are consistently adhered to.

  • Payroll processing for the entire company. Insure disability, health insurance policies/audits.

  • Procuring and administering pension plans.

  • Manage and facilitate all garnishments, unemployment, onboarding and layoffs.

  • Provide HR support across the business, addressing the most complex issues, supporting staff, managers and executives in related areas including recruitment, performance management, compensation, relationships with staff and people development.

  • Develop and secure all compensation and benefits practices to ensure DoubleCut is competitive in the marketplace to attract and retain talent.

  • Internal employee communication with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of company personnel and support business development and change.

  • Work with department heads to implement training and development programs across all functions.

  • Develop and lead DoubleCut’s diversity and inclusion program, in partnership with the Creative Director/Owner and the leadership team.

  • Maintain and ensure that the company manual is constantly updated and distributed to all.

This position is a key role in the business, focused on growing the business and enabling us to build a unique and strong people-focused culture. This position reports to the Creative Director/Owner.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-10 years of experience as an HR business partner or generalist, preferably in the food and beverage industry.

  • Hold a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience with proof of HR-related qualifications.

  • Experience in managing a human resources department.

  • Labor law expert established by governing authorities and organizations.

  • Demonstrated ability to build HR organization capacity.

  • This position will be located at our Clifton Park location.
