Huron Plainman | Pettigrew joins HRMC as Director of Human Resources


HURON – Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is pleased to announce that Jason Pettigrew has joined HRMC as Director of Human Resources, according to Erick Larson, President and CEO of HRMC.
In his new role, Pettigrew plans, coordinates and administers policies, procedures and programs related to all phases of human resources activities, including employee relations, workers’ compensation, benefits, records personnel, compensation, recruitment, employment and leadership development.
Pettigrew has over 20 years of human resources experience in various industries in his home state of South Dakota, as well as in Texas, where he provided district human resources management for Target. For the past 10+ years he has been Director of Human Resources at Presentation College (PC) in Aberdeen.
Since 2015, Pettigrew has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Presentation College, where he developed the Human Resource Management major and taught courses in professional development, training, and employee relations. “Jason’s variety of recruiting and retention experiences, along with his passion for leadership development and employee engagement, make him an ideal candidate to help us achieve our strategic workforce initiatives. work and culture,” explained Larson.
Pettigrew holds a bachelor of science degree from Northern State University and a master’s degree from the University of Amberton in Garland, Texas. He earned a doctorate in education from Northcentral University in Prescott, Arizona.
“I am delighted to join the HRMC team and I am delighted to have made this decision,” said Pettigrew, who took up his new position on February 14. “All of the staff and my fellow leaders have been very helpful and welcoming. I look forward to getting involved in the community and helping to make Huron an even better place.
Pettigrew has moved to Huron and is looking for housing in the community. In his spare time he enjoys reading, listening to music and watching movies. He is also a multi-media artist, creating interactive memory books and designing digital paper.
