Legislators in Cacapon for 3 days of interim committee meetings

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. – Fresh off Tuesday’s Election Day, state lawmakers begin three days of interim committee meetings Sunday afternoon at Cacapon Resort State Park near Berkeley Springs.

Five meetings are scheduled for Sunday from 1 p.m.

The first meeting will focus on the recently completed review of the McChrystal Group of the State Department of Health and Human Resources.

Sunday’s meetings will also include discussions on infrastructure, finance, education and natural resources.

There are six meetings scheduled for Monday starting at 1 p.m. There are five meetings scheduled for Tuesday which also start at 1 p.m.

Lawmakers will return to the state capital for interim meetings in early December. The 60-day legislative session for the new legislature begins on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
