Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangaluru emerged as the winner and AJ Institute of Management, Mangaluru the runner-up in the recent “Edify 2022”, a postgraduate intercollegiate management festival organized by Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM ), Bondel in Mangaluru.
The festival included competitions in the areas of human resources, marketing, finance, best manager, public relations and business quiz. Students from 21 PG colleges in and around Mangaluru participated in the event. Senior Vice President and Head of Delivery at Glow Touch Technologies PC Ramesh, Owner of Vathika International Travels Vathika Pai Kamath, Film Actor Arjun Kapikad and Actor and Tech Support Manager at Yahoo Ganesh Bhat were in attendance at the inauguration.
Ongoing preparation and skills development are key to succeeding in the corporate world, Mr. Ramesh told the students. “Effective communication, organizing your thoughts, listening skills and the ability to lead the interview through your responses are necessary to enter the corporate world,” he said.
Tetherfi Technologies Global Human Resources Director Laxman Shenoy presented awards to the winners during the farewell attended by Women’s National Education Society Vice Presidents KT Manjula and Manel Annappa Nayak. Mr. Shenoy told the students that while the management profession is full of competition, the opportunities are also enormous. The director of the Institute, Molly S. Choudhuri, was present.
Sri Poornaprajna Evening College, Udupi and AJ Institute of Management won the first and second prizes in the marketing competition while AJIM and Sahyadri won the first two places in the finance competition, SDM College, Ujire and Sahyadri in the Quiz, SDM and Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal in Human Resources and Alvas Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodbidri and St. Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor won first and second prizes in public relations. Vivekananda College, Puttur, won the competition for best manager.
