Stacey Breuer was appointed Chief People Officer in January 2021 to head the Human Resources Management Services team in the Office of Management and Budget. The HRMS team provides leadership and HR advice to the entire ND team.

Stacey brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role of Chief People Officer, holding various human resources leadership roles in manufacturing, engineering consulting, government and not-for-profit. Stacey brings a unique combination of technical training, human resources and communications experience to the role of CPO. His expertise and strengths include bringing people together for results, leadership and strategy development to manage change, talent management, learning and development, talent acquisition and internal communications and executives.

Prior to joining ND State, Stacey held senior communications and human resources roles at Doosan Bobcat North America. She was a key member of the team responsible for defining the culture and work environment for the Bobcat Acceleration Center in Bismarck, North Dakota, as the human resources manager for the center. of R&D and the North American engineering team at Doosan Bobcat. Later, as Director of Corporate Communications, Stacey led the unification of the North American communications teams in ensuring consistent messaging to all stakeholders at Doosan Bobcat and led a global board of professionals from Communication.

Stacey is originally from North Dakota and graduated from Bismarck Century High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University
and a master’s degree in human resources management from the University of Mary. Stacey holds the following industry certifications: Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR), Certified Senior SHRM Professional (SHRM-SCP), DDI Certified Facilitator, and Prosci Certified Change Practitioner.
