The Lawson Cos. hires its first director of talents and development

Virginia Beach-based property management firm The Lawson Cos. Has hired Brandi Hall as its senior director of talent and development, she announced Tuesday.

Hall is responsible for the hiring, training and retention of Lawson employees. She has 16 years of experience in human resources roles and most recently was the human resources generalist for Norfolk-based Virginia Media Group, which includes the Virginian-Pilot and Daily Press newspapers.

“We look forward to leveraging Brandi’s experience and insight to create world-class training opportunities and career paths for members of the Lawson team,” said Julie Richardson, Director of Human Resources de Lawson, in a statement. “She will play a key role in building a strong and diverse team at Lawson.

Founded in 1972, Lawson manages and owns nearly 6,000 apartments and is developing approximately 1,200 more. The company provides development, construction, property management and asset management.
